River Severn at Apperley and The Leigh


River levels remain high at the Haw Bridge river gauge because of Storm Darragh. Consequently, flooding of property, roads and farmland is possible. We expect flooding to affect Gabb Lane at Apperley and local caravan parks. Predicted peak at Haw Bridge 4.9m to 5.1m on Wednesday night, 11/12/2024. No significant rainfall is forecast. We expect river levels to remain high over the next few days. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are liaising with emergency services and Local Authorities. Please plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded and move possessions and valuables off the ground or to safety. This message will be updated by 11am on Thursday, 12/12/2024, or as the situation changes.
