River Severn at Hanley Castle, Rectory Road in Upton upon Severn and Saxons Lode

River levels remain high at the Saxons Lode river gauge because of recent heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of property, roads and farmland is expected to continue. We expect flooding to affect property and roads in and around Hanley Castle and Saxons Lode. Predicted Peak:- Saxons Lode 4.8m to 5.0m on Wednesday afternoon, 11/12/24. No further significant rainfall is forecast. We expect river levels to remain high over the next few days. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are checking defences.
