River Severn at Court Meadow, Kempsey and Callow End

River levels remain high but are peaking at the Kempsey Yacht Club river gauge because of Storm Darragh. Consequently, flooding of property, roads and farmland is expected to continue. We expect flooding to affect Court Meadow Caravan Park. Predicted peak:- Kempsey Yacht Club 6.4m to 6.7m this morning Wednesday, 11/12/2024. No significant rainfall is forecast. We expect river levels to remain high over the next few days. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are liaising with emergency services and Local Authorities. Please plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded and move possessions and valuables off the ground or to safety.
