River levels remain high but are beginning to fall at the Diglis (Worcester) river gauge because of Storm Darragh. Consequently, flooding of property,roads and farmland is expected to continue.
We expect flooding to affect properties at Quay Street, South Quay, Diglis Avenue and Hood Street. Properties also affected at Pitchcroft Lane, Waterworks Road, Newport Street,Croft Road and Diglis Dock Road Worcester.
Observed Peak:- Diglis 4.5m early Wednesday morning, 11/12/24.
No further rainfall is forecast. We expect river levels to remain high over the next few days.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are liaising with emergency services and Local Authorities.
Please plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded and move possession and valuables off the ground or to safety.
