The flooding of low-lying land and roads near the River Tone and on Currymoor continues during Wednesday, 11/12/2024. Cutts Road remains closed, but New Road may soon be reopened. Please search for Somerset emergency road closure before travelling.
The River Tone level at Currymoor pumping station is 6.86 and is stable. Water will enter Currymoor reservoir, via Hookbridge spillway, if this level exceeds 7.45m. However, this is not expected. The drain level at Currymoor pumping station is 5.97m and is falling.
We will continue to pump water from the moors at Currymoor, Northmoor, Saltmoor and Stanmoor pumping stations when required.
The forecast for the next five days is for dry weather with no significant rain forecast.
We continue to pump water and check our flood defences and rivers for blockages. Don't put yourself or others at risk and do not drive or cycle through floodwater.
This message will be updated by 2:00PM on 12/12/2024, or as the situation changes.
