River levels remain high due to the recent heavy rainfall but are falling slowly. Flooding of roads and low lying land is still possible. Flooding could still affect locations near the River Piddle, with low lying land and roads expected to be most affected, particularly around tributaries between Alton Pancras and Wareham. There is no significant rain forecast for today or tomorrow. We are monitoring rainfall and river levels. Please avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses and do not attempt to walk or drive through flood water. People in this area should continue to monitor local water levels and weather conditions. This message will be updated by 03:00 PM on 28 December 2025 or as the situation changes.
