Lower Frome and tributaries

River levels are high and rising again at the Stinsford river gauge on the Lower Frome. Flooding is forecast to affect low lying areas to start with near to the River Frome in the Dorchester, West Stafford, Bockhampton, Lewell, Tincleton, Pallington, Waddock, Moreton, Wool, East Stoke, Holmebridge, Stoborough, Stoborough Green, Wareham, Redcliffe, Ridge and Swineham areas. We will continue to monitor the forecast and re-issue this Flood Alert if necessary. Please avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses and do not attempt to walk or drive through flood water. People in this area should take action now and watch your local weather forecast. This message will be updated by 12:00 noon on 24/02/2025, or as the situation changes.
