Lower Avon and tributaries

This is a Flood Alert Update. River levels remain high from previous heavy rainfall but are going down gradually. Locations most affected will be the New Forest tributaries of the Avon between Fordingbridge and Ringwood. River levels are continuing to fall. There is very little rainfall expected today. We are closely monitoring the situation. Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. This message will be updated by 2:00PM on 20th December 2025 or as the situation changes.
