Flood Alert

River Leach from Northleach to Mill Lane near Lechlade

Property flooding is not currently expected. River levels are rising on the River Leach as a result of heavy rainfall over the weekend from Storm Bert. Therefore, flooding of low lying land and roads is expected to continue today, 25/11/2024, especially in the Lechlade area. Today is forecast to be mainly dry. We expect river levels to continue to rise and should start to stabilise tomorrow, 26/11/2024. We are monitoring the situation. Avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses. Do not drive through flood water. Go to the 'River and Sea levels in England' webpage for current river levels. This message will be updated by tomorrow morning, 26/11/2024, or as the situation changes.
