River Tove in Northamptonshire

River levels are forecast to rise in response to steady rainfall expected this evening and into tomorrow morning. Flooding is possible overnight tonight, Sunday 23rd February. Areas most at risk are around the River Tove between Towcester to Cosgrove, including Silverstone Brook and the Stoke Bruerne Marina. Move cars out of this flood risk area. We are not expecting the situation to escalate, or to issue any further warning messages at this time, however further rainfall over Monday and Tuesday may keep levels high. Take care on riverside roads and footpaths, and don't put yourself in unnecessary danger. We are monitoring the situation and will update this message by 10am tomorrow, 24/02/25.
