Hundred Foot Washes in Cambridgeshire and Norfolk

River levels are high and will continue to remain high for several days as water from Storm Darragh flows into the Hundred Foot Washes. Flood water is dangerous. Don't put yourself or others at risk. This information is correct as of 15:30pm on Wednesday 11th December. The causeway at Earith may now have some water on the road. The causeway at Sutton Gault has approximately 65 centimetres of water on the road. The causeway at Welney has approximately 53 centimetres of water on the road. The Environment Agency are liaising with Norfolk Highways, who will decide whether to close the road at Welney. For more information about the causeway at Welney, please visit the 'Welney Flood Watch' Facebook group. Please note that the content of this group does not represent the views of the Environment Agency. Due to the uneven surface of the roads, water may be deeper in places. We will update this message by 8am tomorrow, Thursday 12th December 2024.
