Lower River Eden

Flooding of roads and low lying land is possible, property flooding is not expected. Flooding is possible from late evening on 23/02/2025. Areas most at risk include River Eden and its tributaries from its confluence with the River Irthing through Crosby-on-Eden and Carlisle to the Solway Firth at Rockcliffe. Weather conditions are expected to improve overnight and no further flooding is expected. We are closely monitoring the situation and monitoring rainfall and river levels. Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. This message will be updated by 10:30 AM on 24/02/2025, or as the situation changes.
